Wailea - Makena Hawaii
Within its lush 1,500
acres, along
its 1.5 miles of ocean frontage, Wailea offers the wealth of activities
and amenities that have made it a favorite Maui destination. Stroll
along Wailea's oceanfront walkway alongside five crescent-shaped
white sand beaches. Flowering shade trees, well manicured lawns,
neatly trimmed hedges and wide boulevards lead to world-class
hotels tucked along the coastline. Wailea is a popular destination
for golf and tennis enthusiasts, with three championship golf
courses, the Blue, the Gold, and the Emerald. The Wailea tennis
club features three grass courts, eleven plexipaved courts and
a 1,000 seat stadium court. Preferred rates at both the golf and
tennis clubs apply for Wailea guests.
There are two distinct groups of condos in this area - the three
prime properties that front directly to lovely beaches (Wailea
Elua, Polo Beach Club and Makena Surf), and the group that sit
away from the ocean, offering a lower price tag (Palms at Wailea,
Grand Champions, Wailea Ekolu). Wailea Ekahi is somewhat
in between, since it sits slightly above the ocean, but has an
access way to the beach.
