Stroll along Wailea's oceanfront walkway alongside five crescent-shaped white sand beaches. Flowering shade trees, well manicured lawns, neatly trimmed hedges and wide boulevards lead to world-class hotels tucked along the coastline. Wailea is a popular destination for golf and tennis enthusiasts, with three championship golf courses, the Blue, the Gold, and the Emerald. The Wailea tennis club features three grass courts, eleven plexipaved courts and a 1,000 seat stadium court.

The vacation homes, villas and cottages in the Wailea and Makena areas tend to on the upscale side, since land prices are so high. The villas offer a degree of luxury that is difficult to find elsewhere on Maui. These are the perfect option for an executive retreat or large family gathering. Remember - book early, the large homes tend to book well in advance.

Important: Maui County has started to close many private home and cottage vacation rentals. BUT, there are a small number of hotel and apartment zoned homes, as well as several grandfathered residential properties that will still be available for vacation rental.
