Makena Surf is located at 92 Makena Road, Makena / Wailea
Makena Surf sits oceanfront just beyond Wailea. The hotels, shops and beaches of Wailea will be a short drive by car, or a nice, long walk. Many guests consider this the ideal location, close enough to Wailea for the services and amenities, but far enough away to feel more private and secluded.
The Makena Golf courses are just minutes away, with the Wailea courses, just a bit farther down the road. Enjoy snorkeling around the lava rock areas, but use extreme caution.
Where’s the beach?
Makena Surf wraps around a rocky point, with beaches to both sides. Next to the G building is the smaller beach. Starting next to E building, running in front of B building, and then onward to the west is Paipu Beach, the larger beach. GORGEOUS!!
Property Description
Makena Surf is one of the only condos that we can truly describe as “private” or “secluded”. Sitting alone on the Makena coastline (just beyond Wailea) this is a gated condo property, with six low-rise (three story) buildings. Four of these sit on the ocean edge with perfect oceanfront views, and two sit slightly back from the ocean. The “B” building is considered beachfront, sitting directly on the lovely sandy beach. A second small beach sits off to the side of the “G” building. The “E”, “F”, and “G” buildings wrap around a lava rock outcrop, and sit closer to the ocean, with better privacy. A and C are the newest buildings on the property but are set back from the ocean. The grounds include BBQ areas, two swimming pools, two hot-tubs, and four tennis courts (two with lights).
The floor plans at this property include, two and three bedroom units. There’s one unique four bedroom unit. (note: there are NO one bedroom units at Makena Surf).
MAINTENANCE:
2019: Unit renovations could take place in units in the A, B or C buildings between May 1, 2019 and November 15, 2019.
Future years: Each year different buildings are allowed to do work. If you’re coming during summer/fall, be sure to ask us which areas will be affected.
